Office 365 Activation Guide ( Family Invite )

Note : This product does not work with business email addresses or accounts that already have an active 365 subscription. Please use a personal email address to activate this product. Your data remains private and your OneDrive is not shared with anyone.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on activating Office 365 Family via a Family Invite:


Step 1: Get Invited to the Family Subscription

  1. Family Organizer:

    • The primary Office 365 Family account holder (organizer) sends an invite.
    • They can send it via email or a shareable link.
  2. Check your Email:

    • If invited via email, you'll receive an invitation link.
    • If the shareable link is sent directly, ensure you have access to the link.

Step 2: Accept the Invitation

  1. Click the Invitation Link from your email or message.
  2. Sign in to Microsoft with your personal Microsoft account.
    • If you don’t have one, click Create one to make a new Microsoft account.

Step 3: Install Office Apps

  1. Once you accept the invite, go to Microsoft Office - Install.
  2. Sign in with the same Microsoft account you used to accept the invite.
  3. Click Install Office and follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the apps.

Step 4: Activate Office on Your Devices

  1. After installation, open any Office app (like Word or Excel).
  2. Sign in with your Microsoft account to activate the apps.
  3. Repeat the installation and activation steps on up to five devices per user.
