Note: This process is applicable only if the product purchased and the product installed are the same.
- Visit https://home.mcafee.com
- Then click on Account, and then click on Redeem your Retail Card.
- Next enter your 25-digit activation code and click on submit. (Note: After entering the activation code if you get a message “This product was purchased for a different region” Click on Continue)
- Enter the same Email ID that is registered in the installed McAfee and click next.
- Enter your password and click next.
- Your installed product will be listed, and the expiry date will be displayed. Confirm the expiry date and click “Redeem Now”
If you get the option for Auto-Renewal and you do not want to setup Auto-Renewal, do not click “Agree and Continue” in the popup window for Auto renewal. This is not mandatory. Click on the Blue colored ‘X‘ on the popup window to bypass Auto renewal.
- Next right-click the McAfee M-shield
icon next to your PC’s clock. (If the McAfee icon is not visible, click the show more icons “^” button.) - Click Verify Subscription.
- Click Yes if you are prompted to allow the app to make changes to your device.
- Wait for the process to complete.
- Check to see if the correct subscription information is now shown.
